Dunkeld and Birnam, known as the gateway to the Highlands, is a perfect place to relax, rejuvinate and enjoy the fresh air, clear waters, stunning views, beautiful walks of Perthshire's "big tree" countryside and lots of other outdoor pursuits!

It is just a short walk to the heart of Birnam's friendly community and arts facilities and Dunkeld's artisan shops and eateries are just a leisurely stroll away along the banks of the river Tay and over the elegant Telford bridge.

Dunaird Cottage is nestled in the courtyard of Dunaird House, a Scottish baronial style mansion, which was designed to make the most of the stunning views of Birnam Hill from the gardens of its hilltop location.

Inside, there is a cosy kitchen/diner and lounge area with sofa bed, a double bedroom and shower room with toilet, and outside, a sheltered outdoor setting area with firepit/BBQ. Bedding, towels and welcome pack is included.



Enjoy our friendly community, a wide range of exciting activities and sports, relaxing walks and treatments, interesting experiences and events.

A local bakery, butcher, deli and market with organic and locally sourced ingredients make it easy to eat well when you self cater - or you can treat yourself to treats and meals out at our local cafes, restuarants and pub with menus to suit every preference and dietary requirement.




Book now by sending us your preferred dates from the available options and we will send you an invoice for a deposit to secure your booking and invoice you for the balance 1 week before you arrive.

Dunaird Cottage is available for self catering holiday lets for up to 3 people booking 2 night stays Fri-Sun, 3 night stays Mon-Thurs or 1 week stays.



Caring for our local environment and community helps make Dunaird Cottage the special place it is. We hope you will help us minimise waste and carbon impact by turning off lights/heating when possible and recycling/using environmentally friendly products we provide.

With a train station and bus stops all in walking/cycling distance, it is easy to get to Dunaird Cottage and explore the local area without a car. We are passionate about autistic inclusion and have designed the accomodation at Dunaird Cottage to be as accessible and autism friendly as possible.
